Trip to Bhangarh:

Bhangarh Fort is located in Alwar district in state of Rajasthan in India. The Fort is often referred to as one of the most haunted places in India. I along with some of my friends were planning for a while to visit the fort and finally in month of June 2018 we decided to visit the place.

How to reach Bhangarh from Delhi:

Bhangarh is at around 200 km from Delhi and is well connected through roads. We decided to go the fort from our own car. We started at around 7 am and after having breakfast in the highway restaurant we finally reached Bhangarh at around 11:30 AM. There is a dedicated paid parking outside the fort boundary wall where we parked our car. Needless to mention we used the help of google map to reach the location and otherwise also there are signboards at different stretched of the road for the purpose of guidance.

ANCIENT TEMPLE INSIDE FORT PREMISES

RUINS INSIDE FORT PREMISES
There are remains of the market place of the kingdom. In addition common public also used to reside there. There is also an ancient temple inside the premises whose picture is shown in the right side. Despite passage of considerable time, the built quality of the temple structure remains considerably good as compared to other structures of the fort.

Way to the ruins of King's palace:

Outer walls of the Fort :
The King's residence/palace was surrounded by these stone walls.

Ruins of the Bhangarh Palace:

It is stated that the Royal Palace had earlier seven storeys but now only four storeys remains and that too in dilapidated condition.

One can easily sense the ghostly feelings in Bhangarh Fort area. There is strange calmness. At many places inside the Fort especially when going inside the ruins of King's palace area we experienced extreme pungent smell and sounds of bats coming. Earlier very few people used to visit there but now it has become quite popular especially among young and adventure seeking travelers.

We remained in the fort premises till around 4 pm and then we returned to Delhi the same day.
